The Light in The Piazza London
"I don't think I've ever heard a contemporary musical sound better(the sound designer is Mick Potter) in the Theatre..."
Miss Saigon Prince Edward Theatre London
(The Arts Desk)
"Take a bow Mick Potter! The sound design for this production is outstanding, with the most realistic thunderstorm ever, and spot-on balance for the mass choral, scenes...."
The Sound of Music The London Palladium
(Theatremonkey Opinion)
"Mick Potter's sound is also thrilling, wrapping the theatre in swathes of sumptuos melody....."
Les Misérables Sondheim Theatre London
(Theatre.co.uk)
"The performances are committed, the sound superb, and if you don't enjoy this then it's safe to assume you don't like musicals ...."
Phantom of the Opera- The Las Vegas Spectacular
(The Daily Telegraph)
"Mick Potter supports the company throughout with a brilliant sound set up (the orchestra sounds wonderful and perfectly balanced)....."
Miss Saigon Prince Edward Theatre London

"The barricade battles in the second half get extra whizz and bang with 3D sound effects....."
Les Misérables Sondheim Theatre London
(Daily Mail)
"Adding further dimension to the experience is Mick Potter's expansive and enveloping sound design. Somehow it shifts past the constraints of the auditorium walls and opens the room up to the action on stage. It's atmospheric and three dimensional; one minute there are cannon balls hurtling past your head, the next you're chilled by the drip, drip, drip of the Paris sewers. The rescored music is alive and the vocals are clear, balanced and natural....."
Les Misérables 25th Anniversary Tour
(Lighting and Sound International)
"It must be said the lighting design and Mick Potter's sound design were both truly fantastic. Often in theatre, with an orchestra of this size playing over dialogue, speech would be lost but the team made sure we were able to hear every word....."
The Light in The Piazza The Royal Festival Hall London
(Broadway Baby)
"Adding to the success( and delighting this critic) were the beautifully managed designs of Mick Potter, who kept volumes at enjoyable levels that always enhanced the action and should become the gold standard for this cavernous 2650 seat Sarofim Hall ...."
The Wizard of Oz US Tour Houston Theatre Under the Stars
(The Peoples Critic)
"Mick Potter's 3-D sound designs are a class apart....."
The Regent Theatre Melbourne
(The West Australian)
"Mick Potter's Sound Design is perfectly intelligible at all times; he also provides disturbingly real helicopter sounds that pan through the auditorium ...."
Miss Saigon Broadway Theatre New York
(Lighting and Sound America)
"One of the best parts of the production is the sound design by Mick Potter. Obviously, Potter had state of the art material to work with and a brand new theatre, but even so his sound design makes the show. It must have been a dream to design! No limitations. Because of that, he's designed one of the best sounding productions I have EVER seen. It's rare for me to walk out of a production thinking,"Damn, that sound design was fantastic'. The way the sound moves through the auditorium creates almost another sensory experience for the theatregoer. It comes at you at all angles, crescendoing and decrescendoing at all the right moments. The orchestra and voices sounded crystal clear. You almost have to see this production just for the sound design...."
Phantom of the Opera- The Las Vegas Spectacular
(The Broadway Critic)
"It's the most sumptuous sound I've heard in a musical....."
Sunset Boulevard The London Coliseum
(The Guardian)

"If you want to hear the show in all it's sonic glory the Coliseum is the place to go...."
Chess The London Coliseum
(The Arts Desk)
"The sound on the night was excellent, and although the Royal Albert Hall is about five times the capacity of a regular West End theatre, a level of intimacy was still achieved ...."
